Getting a job is like getting married.
First, you go and find a suitable candidate online. The only difference is that instead of Tinder you use Linkedin. You send a nice letter about yourself to two to three or maybe 10 candidates. And if you are lucky, you go on a date with a potential employer. This date will show you, whether you like each other or not.
If there is a match, you will probably have more dates with this employer until it gets really serious. Of corse you are dating other companies simultaneously before it gets official. On the last date, you also meet the relatives of your future husband. In this case, these are other employees or the company’s management. Once you both fall deeply in love with each other, it’s time to get married and sign the agreement. The ceremony is usually not that fabulous, but there is still room for a cake or so.
If you are lucky with your new relatives, they might be helpful and even invite you to have lunch with them. Now it’s time for you to learn all the apps and procedures within the company like you would learn the moods and emotions of your beloved. Day by day you are starting to notice that you are spending more time with your new “family”, than the real one.

As you create new projects to grow the business in the company, the bond grows between you. It’s almost like having kids together or buying a house, but as time passes, your honeymoon fades. Even if there are events and parties on special occasions, your relationship becomes habitual. Soon you will start to notice other companies, that might have bigger brands or better bonuses, fancier offices, etc.
If back in days a job marriage could last for decades, then now you probably stay married for 2-3 years until you start looking for a new relationship. Or you might find out that your employer is cheating on you with a subcontractor or another employee.
So if you want to find a good husband or wife, it’s best to be clear on what inspires you in this life the most. This will help you to stay on your course.
